COMMITMENT TO SAFETY AGREEMENT

HFMA New Jersey + Metropolitan Philadelphia
45th Annual Institute

The HFMA New Jersey and Metropolitan Philadelphia Chapters recognize that the safety of attendees at the Annual Institute is our top priority. Our Commitment to Safety Agreement is a living document that will continue to evolve based on state and federal guidance to ensure that all participants are as committed as we are to following safe and health protocols.

In accordance with the CDC, NJ Department of Health, and the Atlantic City Convention Center GBAC STAR certification protocols, HFMA has created a plan designed to keep all conference participants healthy, safe, and comfortable. Each attendee plays a critical role in the success of this plan and we depend upon everyone to create a safe environment.

Our three-prong approach includes:
  • Expecting attendees to comply with announced safety measures
  • Implementing safety measures for the event space
  • Understanding the measures established by the Borgata
Our Commitment to Safety means....
...Requiring attendees to
  • Provide proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within 5 days of your arrival to the event.
  • Wear a mask for the duration of the conference except while eating or drinking or socially distanced from others
  • Leave the conference if you feel ill or begin to exhibit symptoms and contact hfma@dlplan.com so we can contact other attendees
...Adding visible measures such as
  • Limiting seating in each meeting space to provide maximum safety to all registrants. Seating in the conference and dining space set at 60% of capacity
  • Providing color-coding for badges to indicate each person's comfort level with physical gestures such as handshakes. You choose which comfort level you'll display
  • Expanding aisles in the Exhibit Hall
  • Arranging for buffet staff to handle food service, as well as revamping other space to provide a safe process for the delivery and consumption of food and beverages
...Recognizing that the Borgata has
  • Required staff to wear a mask at all times, and has incentives for staff to vaccinate
  • Added sanitizing stations throughout the facility
  • Trained staff in cleaning, food handling & meal service as well as conference staging to minimize the risk of exposure
